For the second consecutive year, Ethos Service has been named “Best For The World” for its governance practices. This distinction recognises B Corp companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, responsibility and transparency.

Ethos Services, which employs over 30 people between Geneva and Zurich, was awarded the title of "Best For The World 2022" for the second year in a row. This distinction is awarded annually to certified B Corp companies around the world that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency, i.e. to the top 5% within one of the following categories: governance, employee policies, relations with customers and the community and respect for the environment. As in 2021, Ethos Services distinguished itself in the “governance” category.

“We are very happy with this new recognition, underlines Beth Krasna, chairwoman of Ethos Services. Once again, this demonstrates that we ourselves apply the good governance practices that we advocate with companies listed in Switzerland and abroad. Transparency, in particular, is essential for Ethos. In recent years, Ethos has not only worked to improve its governance, starting with the diversity within its boards, but also to reduce its environmental impact. It thus recently submitted for the approval of its members and shareholders a detailed climate strategy which should enable it to achieve its objective of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Ethos Services is one of the 12 Swiss companies that have been named “Best For The World” this year in one of the five categories covered by B Corp. The certification is awarded by B Lab, a non-profit organisation established in the United States, Europe, South America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. To be granted certification and then maintain it, a company must obtain a minimum score of 80 points (out of 200) during an assessment carried out according to an international standard. In May 2020, Ethos Services achieved a score of 109 points, which allowed it to rank directly among the best services companies committed to the B Corp movement. The next evaluation of Ethos Services – which takes place every three years – will take place in 2023.
